NewSOL: New Latent and Sensible storage concept for high efficient CSP Plants
NewSOL aims at the development of innovative Thermal Storage solutions for Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) or other solar driven medium/high temperature applications. Based on the study and development of innovative construction and insulation materials, heat transfer or heat storage media or monitoring components, the project aims at the study of sensible and latent storage concepts and at the construction and testing of a concrete based Thermocline prototype for operation with Molten Salts and filler material up to 500ºC.
