Our Partnerships

The international outreach of INIESC Évora is supported by its participation – directly as a research infrastructure or indirectly by means of the activities therein developed by its resident research group SOL4R – in different European and international R&D networks and Research Infrastructure initiatives.

The EU-SOLARIS ERIC – European Solar Research Infrastructure for Concentrated Solar Power – is a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) with to objective to establish and operate a world-class distributed research infrastructure on concentrated solar power/solar thermal energy (CSP/STE) to be set up as a central hub responsible for the coordinated operation of national research centres in CSP/STE technologies, which shall dedicate part of their research and development capacities to EU-SOLARIS ERIC.

The European Energy Research Alliance Joint Program in Concentrated Solar Power (EERA JP-CSP) has started in 2011 and aims at integrating and coordinate the scientific collaboration among leading European research institutions in CSP to contribute to the achievement of the targets initially set by the “Solar Thermal Electricity-European Industrial Initiative” (STE-EII) and, later on, by the SET-Plan.

Batteries Europe, the European Technology & Innovation Platform on batteries provides the community with a forum to spearhead Research and Innovation actions so to accelerate the establishment of a globally competitive European battery industry. The Working Groups are organised jointly with the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA).

Water Europe mission intends to be a recognized voice and promoter of water-related innovation, research, and technology development in Europe. With a focus on the entire water value chain, Water Europe advocates for building a water secure, sustainable, and resilient, Water-Smart Society across Europe and beyond.

The Water4All Partnership -Water Security for the planet- is a funding programme for scientific research in freshwater. It aims to tackle water challenges to face climate change, help to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth. It is co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme (a key funding programme for research and innovation).

EDS is a Europe-wide organisation for individual and corporate members, including universities, companies, research institutes, government agencies and all concerned with and interested in desalination and membrane technologies for water. It is a society uniting all interested in promoting desalination, water reuse and water technology. All processes are covered, and the wide range of roles and activities involved in the desalination field includes research, applications, consulting, contracting, operation and maintenance, manufacturing, marketing, economics, and legislation.
